I graduated from Florida State College in Jacksonville in August 2009 with a degree in Health Information Management and received my RHIT certification in January 2010. In March 2010, I began working in my current position at Baptist Medical Center in the HIM Department as a Medical Records Analyst.
My first career was with the U.S. Navy. After twenty years there, I retired in 1995 and worked in the customer service field, including jobs in call centers, at the Navy Commissary, and seven years as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
I have been married for over 32 years and have three children and three grandchildren. I am a lifetime member in both the Fleet Reserve Association and the Disabled American Veterans Association.

The most important thing in my life is my family: my husband of 22 years and 4 growing boys. We round that off with 2 cats and 2 dogs. If I could give anyone advice it would be never take life for granted, and always wear your seat belt.
I am currently employed at 21st Century Oncology of Jacksonville as an Office Manager. Previously, I have worked in Gastroenterology and Neurology and also have 6 years of Hospice experience.
My decision to enter the Health Information Field was made later in life. After being encouraged by many, I entered Florida Community College, while continuing to work full time. I went to school 3 nights a week, and in December of 2005, I finally graduated. The best compliment I received was from my parents saying how proud they were of me. Now, in what little personal time I have, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and yes...chocolate!
