Location: Baptist Medical Center Beaches

Position: Director, Health Information Management

Responsibilities:  Manage the day to day operations of HIM at Baptist Medical Center Beaches.  Baptist Beaches is a fully digital hospital and has an electronic medical record.  Responsible for electronic medical record functions including:  medical record completion; managing physician-inboxes; prepping, scanning, indexing and quality assurance; release of information; off-site storage and physician suspension functions.

Internal Job Description:  Strong communication, organization, analytical and  critical  thinking skills.  Must be able to handle multiple and competing priorities with strong conflict skills must be able to work as a team player as a member of system HIM team.

Requirements:  Must have an Associates or Bachelor's degree and possess an RHIT or RHIA.  Candidate must have at least 5 years of medical record experience with preferred candidate having 3-5 years of management experience in HIM.
